Dr Harun Din Voiced Out About MH370

dated March 17, 2014.

translated (please take note that i am lazy when i am translating this article. so i am only translating those that have things to do with I am Malaysian and MH370 series. also, forgive my English):

Among the essence of the lecture delivered by him (Haron Din) after the evening prayer at a mosque:

2. water in dams are lessening. 3/4 Malaysia is hazy and currently (the case of) MH370. dozens of ships and air crafts went out to look for MH370 but they couldnt find it. Allah wanted to tell us that our knowledge is very lacking compared to His knowledge.

5. what happened to MH370 made the world pay attention to Malaysia. Allah embarrassed us with the event of the flying mat that the Saudi Arabia said that we let shirk spread widely. that really happened... Allah insulted our country with this incident.

7. when it is already the 3rd or 4th day that we still havent found it (MH370); only then we think of Allah. only then (we wanted to) perform solat hajat (a prayer which specifically done to ask for specifically anything. eg wanted to get straight A's in exam, wanted to get married, wanted people you have lost to come home, etc).

9. why do we not trust Allah in the beginning of each trip? in Malaysia..too many Muslims believe in superstitious things..shaman have been so common (among Malaysians) to the extend that no Muslims prevent the event of flying mat in KLIA... that the whole world look at the stupidity and the shirk that is happening in our country... Look through the heart...that is an insult from Allah to us.

The Too-Ridiculous Shaman

Korean media reported, "Malaysia consult a shaman to find MH370."

News from Malaysian students in Egypt.

"Whether in kuliyyah (class), talaqqi [learning Islamic lesson in a halaqah (small group)] and in Azhar Mosque people laughed at us when talking about MH370 magic. They called us Sihrun Thoirun (i dunno what this means).

Just now (I went) to Tahrir (some kind of immigration office i think) to get my VISA stamped. When he/she (the officer at Tahrir i think) asked for passport, he/she laughed at Malaysian kids (students). He/She said that we are good at magic and spells.

Nasi sudah menjadi bubur (is a Malay idiom which means there is nothing that you can do to undo things that are done; literally means the rice became porridge). The country's dignity and Muslims in Malaysia are undersold.

0:39 di atas udara ada alam. alam ghaib ni masa saya naik kapal terbang daripada Kuala Lumpur ke Kota Kinabalu sesinggah Tawau, pihak-pihak pramugara !@#$%^&* pakai tali pinggang. ada satu lembaga hitam lalu kot atas. hari itu masa saya naik kapal terbang masa itu. lepas tu saya pakai tali pinggang, dia lepas lebih kurang dalam 200 kaki, kapal terbang tu melayang. rupa satu lembaga hitam lalu kot atas; hitam. saya tanya siapa; dia kata burung Garuda, Datuk. saya pun terkejut. !@#$%^&* beg bergoyang !@#$%^&*. saya percaya takut terlibat golongan-golongan itu; manalah tau. 1:26

there is another world in the skies. the supernatural world; by the time i was in an airplane from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu passed by Tawau, the cabin crews !@#$%^&* (i dont really get what he is trying to say) wear seat belts. there was a black thing passing by (at the top of the airplane). that day when i was in the airplane that time. then i fasten my seat belt, the airplane dropped for about 200 feet. there was a black thing passed by above (us); black. i asked who (are you?); it said (i am) Garuda Bird, Datuk (or Dato'. i am not sure and i dont care. for more info click here). i was shocked !@#$%^&* the bags swayed !@#$%^&*. i  fear that this (MH370 case) involves the (supernatural) beings; who knows.

i cant bring myself to finish the video. it is not that i do not believe in supernatural. but...

garuda?

garuda?

and you claim yourself as a Muslim?

sigh~

oh yeah, i did wrote that i love to read good books. but i havent write about a book i bought on my way back from Seoul, right? i finished the book last year. well the title is Life In The Skies by Captain Lim Khoy Hing; and i get to know what 'air pocket' is through this book.

the shaman's gesture in the video shows 'air pocket'.

even what he says -- the airplane dropped for about 200 feet -- describes 'air pocket'.

who would you think i believe in more? the shaman or Capt. Lim?

sad. but we Malaysians (Muslim or not; who are still sane and only believe in God; not matter of what religion) also disagree with the shaman. some even created parodies. for example:

by the way, (they didnt say anything though, but still) it feels kind of embarrassing that i had to teach some Japanese about CPR and AED last Friday; just because i am Malaysian.

Lies ~ 3: I am an Iban

i went to a training and spoke Manglish / Chinglish in my presentation;

as usual.

when we have our lunch break,

some of the participants come to sit with me and my partner.

we talked and talked

♫ ♩ about how our parents will die ♪ ♬

hush, Fun!

when suddenly one of the participants asked:

"Gun, where are you from?"

before i can answer, my partner said:

"Gun is an Iban."

i just SMILED; and the participants said:

"oh, no wonder you speak like the east Malaysian people."

...

my language set up in my brain can easily be hacked.

which means;

if i were to become friends with those who are from different states,

i can easily adapt to speaking their dialect.

i can always tell people that i was born in Kuala LipisPahang.

but then my family moved to Temerloh, still in Pahang;

and i went to a boarding highschool which most of my classmates are from Kelantan & Terengganu.

after i graduated highschool, while waiting for college results, my family moved to Kuantan, Pahang.

after a year or two in college we moved to Johor.

and while in college, my best buddies are from Kuala Lumpur, Kedah, Pahang, Kelantan and Johor.

i am working now.

most of my coworkers are Malaysian Chinese.

they speak Manglish most of the time;

and when i speak Manglish, i sounded like East Malaysian people;

or when my skin was darker people thought that i am Chindian;

because i sometimes speaks a little Mandarin & Cantonese.

Pahang, Kelantan, Terengganu, Johor, Kedah & Kuala Lumpur have different dialect each;

and please take note that in Pahang,

Kuala Lipis, Temerloh, and Kuantan have different dialect each.

and i always use my ability to speak in Terengganu dialect

every time i went there.

so why am i not telling the truth, you ask?

let me ask you this:

"would you prefer me to explain my whole life - how my family have been moving here and there; and how i met my friends in college; and how do i do at work now?

or would you prefer me to just SMILE?"

well for me,

i have met a lot of people who asked me the same question;

and i hate to explain my whole life over and over again.

so i prefer to just smile and get everything over with.

Time Travelling

i went to a night market last night.

well for me, being in Terengganu feels kind of nostalgic.

and all other stuffs that, as far as i remember,

the last time i saw them being sold is when i was a little kid.

i realized that i really miss the village style of living.

i miss the seaside.

i miss the village houses,

that the last time i ever slept in any is also when i was a little kid.

there was a stall selling CDs, i am not sure if the CDs are original or pirated.

but it was nice.

it was like coming out of a time machine and went back to the past.

it was very calm walking at night in Paka, Terengganu.

i see things that i can never see since i moved from Kuala Lipis;

somewhere in 1998 or 1999.

Boycott

as far as i know, Terengganu - with total area of 13,035 km2 and total population of over 1 million - have only one McDonalds; which is located at Kerteh.

yes, we passed by the McDonalds on our way to Paka.

my chinese colleague said that maybe it is because people of the east coast Peninsula Malaysia do not really prefer products from the outside, and they also concerned about McDonalds supply money to Israel to buy weapons.

but, all my life, i have always thought that if they really want to boycott Israel, then why not boycott all the other products from them? eg Hugo Boss, Disney, Danone, Nestle, Intel, IBM etc; and i said it out loud.

then my malay colleague explained: "actually, in Islam, we can take things that are good, for example a computer. there are many good things we can do with a computer. so why do we boycott computers? but if you are using a computer to do something bad, that depends on individuals. and i heard McDonalds do admit that they supply weapons or money to buy weapons to Israel."

ok, i get it now.

Where Got Ghost? ~ Cerciter 4

one fine evening after dinner with my colleagues one of them is chinese & another one is malay, we talked about ghosts and evil spirits.

my malay colleague would usually greet 'assalamualaikum' once we enter our house, even if there are nobody home. i playfully said: "dont do that. what if something else answers to your greeting?". then we just laugh.

then chinese colleague suddenly said: "before we enter an empty room or house, we would usually knock first."

when i asked why, he said: "just to make sure that if there are something else in the house or room when we are away, they would immediately go out before we enter. so it would be safer that way."

...

i reached Terengganu yesterday night at about 10pm with another chinese colleague & another malay colleague.

we planned that we shall put down our things first in our rooms and then go to the seminar room to set up our stuff.

my chinese colleague holds the keys to our rooms; then he helped me to open mine. but before he insert the key, he knocked the door. then he looked at me, smile and said: "usually chinese would do this".

i replied: "ya. i know. it is because you want to make whatever other things inside to leave before i enter".

then he said: "hush! shut up and just get in your room!" with a laugh seeming like he is kind of scared when i mentioned what i know.

i slept well last night.
