i has been more than 3 years that i havent being called by my nick name Gun.

and it really has been many years since i havent being called by my other nicknames.

in Islam, it is important for us to choose names carefully so that we wouldnt end up having a bad name; as each time be are being called by our name, it will become a 'doa'; which means prayer. we believe that each time someone is being called as a 'jerk', he or she will eventually becomes a real 'jerk'.

recently there are so many around me who have the same name as i do. i hated that when i heard my name being called, it is not me that these people wanted. but it is the other person with the same name as i do; either in office, or when i am together with the Waterfalls dudes.

the last time i went for an adventure to the waterfalls is about a month ago. i get to have a Muslim office mate to come with me and i reminded her that do not be surprised if these people called me Takashi. then she asked,"is there a meaning of that name?"

i suddenly get the idea Takashi when i was panicking about a shooting some years ago; and i have come to like that name that even if i am motivating myself, my mind would go like "you can do this, Takashi! ganbarimasu!"

i knew that there are many ways to write Takashi in Kanji; which can bring different meaning even though the pronunciation is the same. so i began to look for the meaning of Takashi and i choose 喬士 ; which means 'high, boasting, samurai, gentlemen'.

well, my real name is used predominantly in Italy, Spain, France, Russia, Iran, and some Arab countries. its origins are in the Slavic languages. it is also a common, unrelated Arabic name. it can mean 'hope', 'tender' or 'delicate'.

it is not that i am hopeless that i like the name Takashi more than my real name. it is just that i am not as 'tender' and as 'delicate' as described by my name. i am more of a 喬士.

and i am glad that my new nickname is no longer a kind of name with no meaning. i think... 喬士 is way better than Koya, Ehus, Adik, Pink Samurai, Kun, Gun, V-kei, Kei, Ruki, Hyde or whatever it is.

and from now on, i am not going to use Gun anymore. so can we start over?

one or two days before i was sick, i went 'amok' at EB#1. 

but EB#1 calmly calm me down.

they call me names.

1997 - 1999 - Koya

2000 - 2002 - Ehus, adik (little sister)

2003 - 2004 - Pink Samurai, Kun Kun, hell-lot-of-anime-characters' names

2005 - 2010 - Gun, Gun-Gun, Guna, Gunasegaran, Gunawan, Mohamad, Muhammad, *insert four of my other nicknames that are very much related to my real name here*, V-Kei, Kei, under_construction, ruki, rookie, hyde.

2011 - 2012 - ...

but no one has ever called me Takashi. (dang what am i thinking?)

honestly i dont really remember the expression of any of my friends calling me by my nicknames within 1997 - 2004.

but i really miss my college friends shouting "GUUUUNNNNN~!!!!" out my hostel window when they came back from somewhere.

i miss them shouting "GUUUUNNNNN~!!!!" when they see me at the cafeteria.

i miss them shouting "GUUUUNNNNN~!!!!" when i say or did something bad.

"we will be very famous" - quoted, this morning meeting.

semua orang senyum cam kucing malu-malu. termasuk saya. tapi dalam hati saya "ouh em jiii... kalau ada orang nak interview saya pada masa saya jadi famous bersama quoter dan kamu yang senyum kucing malu sekalian, boleh tak saya nak pakai topeng Doraemon dan tuka nama saya kepada Takashi?"

why the hell tetiba ada Takashi kat situ, saya pun pelik seniri. kadang-kadang kepala hotak saya sukar dikawal. maaf.

by the way, kamu nak tak jadi famous?

dulu-dulu ada orang request nak shoot kami during water sports; nak buat promotional video. coincidentally saya yang on duty aritu. tapi saya buat muka tension. sume orang kesian kat saya sebab saya look really tension cam nak bunuh diri at that time. so orang-orang yang kesian kat saya pun terpaksa la ganti saya pegi water sports. ahaks~ love you alls~

saya tak tau akan ada bayaran atau tak untuk shooting tu. tapi kao bayar la berjuta-juta pun kat haku; sampai mampos pun aku takkan agree untuk buat shooting tu! pergi mampos la korang!

ehem... gun, behave. tapi at the end of the day bila water sports session habes, saya pergi main sekejap. then mereka ada meng-focus-kan camera ke area tempat saya main. berani korang eh... tapi saya main jauh dari shore. harap-harap tade la muka saya keluar kat mana-mana.

... ... ... pergh serious seram siyooot kalau tetiba saya jenjalan kat mana-mana property fair, tetiba ada muka saya kat situ. demm! mereka dah la GUNa camera yang canggeh untuk shoot. one more time - demm!

at the time wallpaper kampeni baru buka, ada la beberapa event yang ada professional photographer amek gambar. then Wallpaper Boss said something like "Gun, nanti kita akan letak gambar ni dalam magazine. you should expect gambar you ada dalam magazine ini, issue ##."

seriously; if people were to know my name, i dont want them to know my face. if people know my face, i dont want them to know my name.

so if i were to meet people, should i wear a Doraemon mask and say "hello, i am Gun."

or should i just wear my face and say "hello, i am Takashi."
